SAMA WINNERS 2010

Last weekend saw the who’s who of the South African music scene heading towards Sun City for the 16th Annual MTN South African Music Awards. All eyes were on the nominees and with a staggering 10 clients nominated, Hybrid Media was honoured to be working with some of South Africa’s most talented artists. Once again the awards were a huge success and after the spectacular main event on Saturday night, we were thrilled to see no less than 3 clients walk away with the coveted awards.
We would like to congratulate Die Heuwels Fantasties for winning the Best Alternative Music Album: Afrikaans for their self-titled album.
Well done to Proxy, whose album The Call, won in the category for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
We’d also like to applaud Daniel Rowland and the Stellenbosch University Camerata who walked away with the SAMA for Best popular Classical Album.
Well done once again from our side, it’s good to see great musicians getting the recognition they deserve. May your success continue to grow and we wish all the best for the future!

The 3rd Annual MK Awards took place on Sunday the 28th of February at The Teatro at Monte Casino and what a massive event it was. We we’re proud to see so many Hybridmedia clients nominated in a number of categories, including:

Another big toast to Die Heuwels Fantasties, who won Best Colab as well as the coveted award for Best Group. Hybridmedia solutions is proud to be associated with such talented artists and we have no doubt that you will continue to grow and dominate the SA music scene.

There’s a new kid on the Longkloof Studio block and it is Hybrid Media Solutions. That’s right, as of Monday the 1st of March 2010 the Hybrid team will be operating from our new offices at Longkloof Studios, just off the bustling Kloof Street.
There has been a flurry of activity on the premises as men were grinding, sawing, welding and building well into the night, transforming the cellar-like space of Studio 002 into a contemporary operations centre for the Hybrid team. Finally, after much planning and anticipation, the refurbishing has been completed and we were able to move in over the weekend.
In addition the accessibility of the new location, the bigger space also affords us the opportunity to expand our work force in order to get things done even more efficiently and we are confident that the move will enable us to exceed your expectations in the future.
